Week 5 @ School

 20/11/2023

The day started off with the school assembly hosted by students of class 8A. The winners of sub-district youth festival were honoured and I was amazed to see this much talent in such small school. Jijan sir came to the school today. I was well prepared. My class was in the afternoon. But since he came in the morning, I had to take class in the morning as well. 

21/11/2023

It was very hot and exhausting day. Teachers were fewer in number because they had to accompany students to their district science and work experience fair. Even though my class was in the afternoon, I had to engage for the first three hours. This made me tired.

22/11/2023

I had to engage the classes of Baburaj sir as he was on leave. The day was fully engaging as I had to take classes in 10A, 9B and 8B. In the afternoon, there was the inauguration of the Teen's Club. The club was to make students aware of their changes in teenage and use their age to the fullest potential. The resource person and chief guest was Ms. Manju Vinod. Students were informed that there would be no classes the next day because of a cluster meeting.

24/11/2023

My shoulder got injured last day and I came to school bearing a lot of pain. I took my class in the first period and after that went to consult a doctor. When I came back my friends told me that there was an announcement regarding the school parliament election. "Sargavedi", a programme to develop the talents of students was conducted today. It is usual on all Fridays. But I came to notice it today only.

Week 4 @ School

13/11/2023

 I went to school a bit early. Suddenly a police jeep entered the campus and I thought there was some orientation programme. In the morning assembly, they gave prizes and honoured Ananya and Angel for securing third place in the Gandhidharshan Quiz Competition. I was annoyed by the noise of children practising for the sub-district youth festival. 

14/11/2023

 I was tired a bit. There were fewer students and teachers because they had gone to participate in the sub-district youth festival. My students completed the notebooks and gave them for correction. We had to engage in free hours because of the lack of teachers today. 

15/11/2023

The teachers had youth festival duty on the day also. As my class teacher was absent, I had to mark the students' attendance. I had to engage children in 4 hours.  

16/11/2023

There were fewer students in our school. We had to engage UP students also. They really liked our company. The most surprising part is that even though we were not teaching them they came to us and asked for our blessings. As a training teacher, this was the best experience I had till now. 

17/11/2023

This was the last day of the sub-district youth festival. I had to switch my first period with the Biology teacher. Later I got some classes. A management representative came to observe our classes. The Swami told us that we were doing a great job. This made us feel proud. The school closed a bit early since there was a heavy chance of rain.

Week 3 @ School

08/11/2023

 It felt like a homecoming. The school provided a comfort zone for me amidst the college stress. I had my class in the first period, but the English sir needed it since he had to complete the portion he was teaching.

09/11/2023

The day in the school started with an assembly in which the winners of the sub-district science fair and work experience fair were honoured. There were comparatively fewer teachers in the school as they had to attend the engagement function of the Headmaster's son. We engaged students in their free time and made them do various activities. My class was in the second period. Practices of the district youth festival were going on in the school. Archana, the girl whom I mentored came to me with another poem.

10/11/2023

I entered the school by hearing the sweet voices of children singing. They came early today for the practice. My class was in the first period and I was sitting with little work. Today, I conducted the diagnostic test. In the afternoon a girl came to me asking for some tips to write for the English story-writing competition. Archana also came up with her recitation.
