Week 6 @ School

It was a blissful day in school. In the morning, one of my students gave me a drawing of me and I was excited. Sara Fathima of 8th standard won first prize in sub-district New Maths competition. Another striking event was that it was the birthday of two orphan students and the class teacher took initiative to make it a memorable day for them.

It was an exhaustive day. The climate change is affecting teachers and students badly. I had classes in three periods. Students who won first prize in oppana was practising in the school for district-level competitions. In the afternoon we engaged students in the PT period and taught them Kho-Kho.

District-wise Karate games was taking place in a nearby school. As a Karate Athlete and National Judge, I was interested in seeing it. So I went there. Two students from our school was participating and the PT sir was also there. After spending a few time there, I went to school. My class was in the first period and I had to engage 8th standard students in the afternoon.

There was an assembly in the morning and Sara Shibu and Juby were felicitated for winning the district-level Karate games and being selected for State level. A student donated flowerpot for school as it was her birthday. A poet and social worker, Ambujakshiyamma visited the school and donated books to the library. She also recited her poem in the assembly.

The day hadn't much interesting events but it was still satisfactory. Yesterday HM told us to shift to another class because of very hot days. We went to another class as she directed but found out that the fan wasn't working and it was too hot there than the former place. Luckily for us, the teachers were very caring towards us and told us to sit on a much cooler classroom. There was a counseling section for parents associated with Teen's Club of our school in the afternoon. Our English sir asked us to prepare questions for conducting a unit test. He discussed with us and told us to conduct the exams monday afternoon.
